Newark Academy offers donor secure credit card donations by Mastercard, Visa, American Express or Discover.
Donors may provide credit card information via Newark Academy’s website, a reply envelope included in an NA request for funds or by calling the Office of Institutional Advancement at 973-992-7000, ext. 321. Please do not send your credit card information to Newark Academy via email.

Donors may enjoy additional tax benefits by making a gift to Newark Academy by transferring appreciated securities (stock). Newark Academy’s Gift Acceptance policies require that any gifts made via transfer of appreciated securities must be sold immediately with Newark Academy retaining the total sale price of the gifted stock.

All proposed gifts of real estate or other unusual assets (art, antiques, furniture, coin and stamp collections, jewelry, etc.) will only be considered on a case by case basis and accepted upon approval of the Finance Committee and the Head of School. Unless otherwise directed by the Finance Committee, Newark Academy does not accept any gift of this type that cannot be converted to cash within the fiscal year and/or carries with it any potential liability or expense to the school.
NA supporters can increase their gift amount, without additional out-of-pocket costs, by taking advantage of matching charitable gift programs offered by their employer. Many corporations match their employee’s philanthropic contributions, dollar-for-dollar and some corporations will even match your support at a 2:1 ratio.

Donors wishing to take advantage of their company’s matching gift program should request a matching gift form from their Department of Human Resources and attach it when sending a physical check to Newark Academy. These types of gifts are non-cash contributions. For material gifts, such as equipment, the donor supplies a description of the item to the school including a fair-market value or what the institution would have paid had it purchased the item outright. In return, the donor receives recognition for the value of the contribution.While the Office of Institutional Advancement may count these contributions under “gifts-in-kind” in gift reports; the Business Office does not count these contributions in gift totals.
Documented pledge commitments, for both the Annual Fund and Comprehensive Campaigns, are recorded and counted at full face value by the Office of Institutional Advancement when signed by the donor. To make a pledge, please contact Rose McSween at 973-992-7000 ext. 303.
